Deborah Berke Partners on Behance and in USA Today
April 14, 2017
Behance featured our images of the 21c Museum Hotel Louisville in the Interior Design category of their Architecture gallery. The project, led by Senior Principal Stephen Brockman, is the first of our collaborations with the 21c Museum Hotels brand; it has been named #1 Best U.S. Hotel and #6 Best Hotel in the World by Conde Nast Traveler, and was also cited as the ‘Best Hotel’ in Interior Design Magazine’s ‘Best of Year Awards’ and awarded the Global Vision Award by Travel + Leisure.
We also recently found ourselves in the pages of USA Today, when writer Valerie Finholm turned to Deborah to shed some light on homeowners’ love for indoor-outdoor spaces. “It’s a reaction to so many of our ideas being completely enclosed,” Deborah explained. “We really do want to experience climate, weather, the scent in the air.” Deborah speaks frequently about the importance of architecture that interacts with the landscape. We have enjoyed working on many projects that incorporate fresh air and allow our clients to get outdoors, including Crestview Lane House No. 2, North Penn House, and Gracie Square Maisonette.
