Following a competitive selection process, The Wallace Foundation has chosen Deborah Berke Partners to design their new office in New York City. The foundation’s mission “is to foster improvements in learning and enrichment for disadvantaged children and the vitality of the arts for everyone.” Working in interdisciplinary teams, through its grantmaking Wallace works to answer, with credible evidence, important questions that, if solved, could help strengthen practices and policies within a field. The design of their offices, led by Partner Marc Leff and Principal Arthi Krishnamoorthy, is intended to strengthen collaboration among staff to further the foundation’s important work.
Mission-driven architecture is a significant part of Deborah Berke Partners’ practice. Our inclusive design process builds consensus among diverse stakeholders for projects like The Women’s Building and the 122 Community Arts Center. We’re inspired by these clients and the initiatives they support.
