Located in a loft building, in space delivered ‘raw’ to the owner, we designed this this duplex apartment around a tall living room with grand windows.
We created an intersecting “T-shaped” space of the public areas to join the large room with its adjoining, and more intimate, library and dining room. Rich materials and colors balance the natural light. The bold single-stringer stair and highly-figured paneling reinforce the organization of public and private spaces on both stories.
