Lectures
Arthi Krishnamoorthy speaks at Kean University about the benefits of designing for the user’s sense of belonging, touching on the interconnectedness, motivation, and happiness that well-designed spaces can offer their communities. Arthi examines how DBP’s designs for the Women’s Building in Manhattan, the visual arts non-profit organization NXTHVN in New Haven, and similar projects encouraged a sense of ownership and comfort for the residents and surrounding communities.

“Ultimately, belonging comes through discovery … you can’t choreograph the most intricate and personal of discoveries. But you can leave some crumbs to start the process.”
—Arthi Krishnamoorthy
